Skiing Iceland’s West Fjords – How I Saw It

In April 2015 I joined a group to ski in Iceland’s remote West Fjords.

Our moveable basecamp for the week was a small but comfortable yacht that enabled us to reach and ski otherwise inaccessible peaks and slopes. It also allowed us to sail quietly around the wild we spotted in the fjords and cook up a feast each night on freshly caught mussels and fish. An absolutely exquisite week of wilderness and wonder.
