Visit the famous Balotra Fair on this India horse riding holiday through Rajasthan.
This Balotra Fair horse riding holiday in India starts in the blue city of Jodhpur from where you’ll visit the biblical Horse Fair, riding through on your unique Marwari horse (the one’s with curly lyre shaped ears that touch at the tip), to see horses, camels and cattle being traded.
Visit Kumbhalgarh Fort where you start your ride on the Leopard’s trail, through wooded forest, passing cool streams to arrive on the hot plains, camping by farms and lakes.
You’ll stop off at the colourful and exuberant Godwar Festival and horse show where you can take part in the mounted games against local equestrians. You then make your way between the smooth rocks and hills to the scrub forest and camp for two nights on the edge of a large reservoir lake, transferring to jeeps for morning and evening excursions into the park for Leopard safari, before transferring to Udaipur to see the lake and City Palace.
