A great guest sailing adventure from Galapagos to Marquesas Islands North Pacific

Embark on a challenging and rewarding open water ocean passage between the Galapagos Islands and the Marquesas Islands in the eastern Pacific Ocean aboard a wonderful 52ft Sun Odyssey sailboat.

The passage from the Galapagos to the Marquesas covers approximately 3,000 nautical miles (5,500 kilometers) and is planned to take three weeks to complete. You’ll move with the south east trade winds and favourable sailing conditions are expected for much of the passage.

Despite its remoteness, the passage between the Galapagos and the Marquesas offers opportunities for wildlife sightings. Dolphins, whales, and various species of seabirds are commonly encountered along the way, adding to the experience of sailing through this exciting marine environment.

Arriving in the Marquesas Islands after weeks at sea can be a momentous occasion for sailors. The rugged, volcanic landscapes and lush vegetation of the Marquesas provide a stark contrast to the open ocean, offering a welcome sight and a sense of accomplishment for those completing the passage.

2-22 June 2024: 4,200 euro per person in a shared double cabin aboard a Sun Odyssey 52.2 with 4 double cabins and 4 bathrooms (one cabin will share the bathroom with the crew). It can accommodate up to 8 guests.

The crew on board is made up of the skipper Francesco and his partner Anna. Both will take care of the management of the boat and guests collaborate in preparing meals and cleaning the kitchen. This is a hands on voyage and some prior sailing experience is expected.
