A great guest sailing adventure from incredible destinations across the South Pacific

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime aboard an intrepid 52ft Sun Odyssey sailboat that will be sailing across the Pacific Ocean between French Polynesia and New Zealand. Join for any number of voyage legs!

The sailing program in 2025 covers an incredible range of destinations, beginning in the Society Islands, followed by the Tuamotu Archipelago and the wild Marquesas.

Key stops include Ua Huka, Ua Pou, Tauata, Fatu Hiva, and Hiva Oa in the Marquesas. From there, guest crew will venture through the Tuamotu atolls of Raroia and Makemo, before continuing on to Makemo and Tahanea. The journey through the Society Islands includes the stunning destinations of Raiatea, Tahaa, Huahine, and the iconic Bora Bora.

The adventure continues to Morea and Tahiti, before leaving French Polynesia and heading to the Cook Islands, including Palmerston, then on to Niue and the tropical kingdom of Tonga. In Tonga, will be the change to explore the Vava’u group, known for its dramatic landscapes.

After Tonga, the route takes the crew through the Lau Islands and onward to Fiji. Finally, the program culminates with a journey from Fiji to Auckland, New Zealand, a thrilling ocean crossing that caps off this remarkable adventure.

The Sun Odyssey 52.2 boasts spacious accommodations, including four double cabins and four bathrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy throughout the voyage. With a maximum capacity of eight guests, you’ll have ample space to relax and unwind as you soak in the stunning vistas of the open sea.

Led by experienced skipper Francesco and his partner Anna, the crew is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable sailing experience.

As guest crew members, you’ll have the opportunity to actively participate in the operation of the boat, including sailing, meal preparation and kitchen cleanup, fostering a sense of camaraderie and adventure among fellow travelers.

Accommodation

Accommodation for this voyage is on board a fully equipped 15 meters sailing yacht comprising of a spacious indoor saloon area offering plenty of space to relax in peace. From our well equipped galley kitchen, taking it in turns to  prepare delicious food and drinks using fresh, local ingredients.

Onboard we like to enjoy good food and as this is an adventure everyone on board will take part in preparing food.

Who is this trip for?

Suitable for solo, couples, families, groups – max 8 guests in shared cabins. Great for new and experienced sailors wishing to gain mileage at sea and more novice sailors wishing to learn how to sail.

Additional notes

For ocean passages, the crew will participate in full life on board doing the watches (day and night),and everybody will have tasks shared with others for life on board.
Normally the watches are 3 hours during the night and 4 hours during the day.

During the refitting we have change a lots of things but the more important are : the new rigging, new bulb pins new halyards , new sails
The boat has 4 cabins so if you will decide to join us you will share the cabin with another crew.
